Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, and Campbell has many great attractions. You don’t have to go too far to get a good scare, whether looking for a big scare or something appropriate for your kiddos. The city has many restaurants and bars with scary drink specials, but there are also some excellent attractions. Here in Campbell, there are plenty of opportunities to get your fill of haunted houses and scary fun.
There are many Halloween events to choose from in Downtown Campbell, and they're all family-friendly. The best part? You don't have to leave your car—you can walk from one group of shops to the next.
A few blocks from Main Street, you'll find a pumpkin patch at Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, where children can go on hay rides and pick their favorite pumpkin for carving.
The Winchester Mystery House is a maze of secret passageways, staircases, and windows. The house (built by Sarah Winchester) has 160 rooms, 2,000 doors, and 47 fireplaces. It was also constructed without a master plan—it was built in fits and starts over 20 years.
The Campbell Historical Museum is open year-round and accessible to the public. The impressive exhibits focus on local history, from Native American culture to the town's founding in 1885. The museum hosts events, like their annual Haunted History Tours during October, where you can learn about local hauntings and ghost stories.

The Agnews Developmental Center is famously featured in a Green Day music video!
Have fun, but be safe. When you're out trick-or-treating or hitting the hayride at your local haunted house–or wherever else in Campbell you might be spending Halloween–make sure to be aware of your surroundings and watch for pedestrians. Watch the traffic if you are a pedestrian. Be sure to watch for cars as you walk around town, especially if you're wearing a costume that makes it hard to see.
